Day Trip To The Rock of Gibraltar
8/10

Day Trip To The Rock of Gibraltar

Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory, located at the southernmost tip of Spain, is a beautiful day trip destination. With its famous 426m high limestone Rock of Gibraltar towering over the city, which legend says to be one of the Pillars of Hercules, it’s not easy to miss when you’re close by. The Rock is home to the Barbary Macaques monkey, and with more than 40% of Gibraltar being declared a nature reserve, it makes for a great hike to the top. From the top, you can see all across the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as over the ocean into Morocco. The bay between these points is where the Atlantic and Mediterranean oceans meet.

Highlights

  • Explore the British Foreign Territory of Gibraltar
  • See the only wild European Primates atop the Rock
  • Visit Bolonia Beach and its famous dune
  • Enjoy the company of a private guide
  • Take a step into the wildlife and nature of this tiny piece of Spain
