Montserrat is well worth a visit. Excellent day out. Food at the winery was lovely but the wine over lunch not so good. Although it said groups of up to 16 people we were on a big bus most of the day with nearly 50 people – but separated into small groups for the sightseeing itself so false advertising in my view. Our tour guide Merat was brilliant!

We had an awesome day thanks to our guide Merak. Everything was well planned and we felt welcome everywhere he took us. Having both group activities and free time to explore on our own was a good fit as well. Loved the wine from a small family owned winery.

Montserrat is a unique and special place. I enjoyed getting to know a few of my fellow travelers and meeting our wonderful guide, Toni, who was charming and approachable. There was ample time to visit the basilica, take a short hike and buy some local produce. The tour to the winery for tastings and tapas was a wonderful addition to the day and something I hope to remember for a long time. Gracias, Toni and Viator!

What an incredible break from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. It was so nice to go get some fresh air while getting some of the best views I can remember on a hike. Also, the monastery is a beautiful building that is a must see on your trip. Peter is a native to Barcelona and gives wonderful insight beyond just the hike and the monastery.

This was a beautiful hike! When we got to the top, our guide had a picnic prepared for us, and it was so fun to sit ip on top of that beautiful mountain, have lunch and look out over the views. It was magnificent! I don’t know why anyone would go on a tour and stop only at the monastery when this beautiful mountain is right there waiting. If you’re in any kind of shape at all, you should try to do this tour. Our guide Peter was as nice a gentleman as you’ll find anywhere. He’s been hiking this mountain for years, and he has some great stories and is very knowledgeable about the rock formations for both hiking and for rock climbing, and he can taylor the hike to suit your ability. At the end Peter gave us a wonderful tour of the monastery and we got to see the Black Madonna. This tour was so much more that we imagined or expected. It was definitely a 10!
