Best time to go

The best time to go on a Madrid bike tour is in spring and summer! The weather is beautiful, the sun always shining. You’ll want to spend all your time outdoors! You may get rained out in winter, but if the weather looks like it’ll hold, it’s a great option no matter the season.

What is ‘ride bikes’ in Spanish?

Spanish is a difficult language, with different genders for objects, and often, a lot of different ways to say one thing! But it’s helpful to know a few words, to help you communicate, and endear you to the locals! Particularly because many locals know very little English.

If you want to say ‘ride a bike’ in Spanish (and after all, why not?) you can say andar en bicicleta! You can also shorten the word to its more casual use, and say andar en bici.

  1. Vadim – Germany

Very nice! There is a very nice office with a great atmosphere and a nice design. First the guide explained the trip. The trip is very flexibel and contains a lot of different sights. The Guide (Matthew) was very nice and knew a lot of background Information he explained everything in a nice and simple way with humor. The bikes are really confortable and easy to use. Back in the Office a good snack was served in the office.

  2. ENOCH – United States

Fun bike ride around the city! Our guide was super knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend this bike ride. Great way to see Madrid!

  3. Karl – United States

Great guide, but the heavy auto traffic made the ride a bit stressful. Our guide Job was excellent and Madrid is a beautiful city with good streets. However, the route took us onto a number of large thorough fares with heavy auto traffic and this was a bit stressful.

  4. Daniel – Germany

  5. Darren – Spain

Nico was an excellent guide. Would definitely recommend.

  6. Rita – Portugal

    ADOREI 5 estrelas

  7. Elizabeth – United States

Ben was a great guide! He took us to many beautiful places and views, knew the history of all of them, and took great pictures for us! We even had an unfortunate flat tire incident (most likely my eand he took my broken bike and walked it about a mile (entirely uphill) and let me ride his. Very cool experience overall!

  8. Emma – Australia

Brilliant We covered so much of the city and saw Madrid from different aspects I had not seen before. Vasili was a very good guide and the electric bikes great fun.

  9. Kaveendra – New Zealand

Amazing, knowledgable guide! Must have a good level of fitness

  10. Guillermo – Brazil

    Excellent tour!

  11. Mohamed – Sweden

Awesome guide and Brilliant tour Alex was a brilliant guide and provided us with a lot of history. Very friendly guide and loved going around on a bike and get a glimpse of Madrid in 3 hrs.

  12. Ryan – United States

Great way to see a lot of the city. Our guide was very knowledgable.

  13. SoCalBridges

The tour covered the main sights in downtown Madrid and is easy to do. I opted for an e-bike which is not really necessary for this tour since there are frequent stops and hardly any hills. Our guide Borja was lively, engaged and obviously had fun doing his job. He also kept the BS to a minimum which is always appreciated if your in the industry yourself, like I am. If you enjoy cycling and love to pass tourist buses stuck in traffic, this is an excellent way to get an overview of downtown Madrid and a good introduction to cycling in this city. If you want to explore beyond downtown rent an e-bike for a day (there are hills!) and explore Madrid Rio. Loved it!

  14. Michael P

Nicko was a superb guide who's love and knowledge of the city was readily apparent. The company seemed to be efficiently run and the bikes were in good mechanical order. One of the best 3 hours I've ever spent.

  15. christinegauvreau

Thanks to Nico we had a very good tour of Madrid. Saw it’s highlights and had a bit of it’s history.

  16. Myron M

Our guide, Alex, did a great job!!!! His English was very understandable & took time to explain history & background for each location. He went out of his way to give us great suggestions for our visit.

  17. William L

Guide was great, our family was the only people in the group, so the guide was flexible, fun and provided fun insights for the grandkids.

  18. eric l

Fantastic way to see a fabulous city! Abdul guide was a wonderful young man who assisted my elderly sister, and ultimately exchanged her bike for a segway…no problems. He could not have been nicer .

  19. Samantha C

This was a really fun tour. We got to see so much of the city in a short period of time. It was a great way to get familiar with Madrid, and learn about the history of the city and the different areas and landmarks. Definitely recommend.

  20. Teresa Y

It was fun to bike in Madrid – so that activity in itself was really enjoyable. This is set up more as a tour of the city, stopping at crucial parts of the city so I recommend doing this as a way to learn about the city while doing an active skill like biking. I don't recommend doing this and a walking tour – you will end up seeing the same sites.

  21. Nathan M

Sergio was the BEST!! So patient and full of local knowledge! Would definitely recommend or do again!!
