It was a very interesting experience to do the tour! I was able to learn more about the local cuisine and had a lot of fun with the other people in the group learning how to cook (I don't usually cook!). Then we sit down to drink and eat what we cook. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into the local culture and make new friends!

After a short greeting, we went to the market hall with a very informative tour. The actual cooking course started with the delivery of ten different tapas from different regions of Spain and an explanation of each tapa. Then we (a total of nine people) were allowed to try a Spanish omelet, a Catalan cream and a seafood paella under the expert and very entertaining guidance of the cook. At the end, these dishes were then eaten in a cozy atmosphere. It was a fantastic experience, with a lot of information and even more fun!

The course took place in a wonderful atmosphere, tasteful rooms and the very best organization in advance. The stroll through the market to buy the things needed for the recipes was an informative addition. The cook and assistant were a very well coordinated team and the group that came together was lively and very interested. You learn a lot about both taps and the stories behind them. Cooking together was a lot of fun and can also be safely implemented for inexperienced people. Time flew by and I would repeat such an action again and again in a vacation home. Fun, joy, getting to know people, trying out cooking, dining together in a city like Barcelona – just great! Thanks to the cooks, a recommendation that I will pass on to my friends!

We were on a lovely family vacation with 9 of us, including 3 kids, ages 10, 11 & 13. Yves met us at the market and immediately started planning out our meal as we strolled thru the various stalls. Back at his house, he got the entire family involved in the cooking process, and everyone had a great time. We ate on his rooftop enjoying the delicious food and unforgettable views of the city. This was without a doubt the highlight of our Barcelona trip.

My wife and I and our two children (ages 8 and 10) thoroughly enjoyed this tour and class. First we walked the market, while our chef/guide explained some of the local ingredients and suggested a wide array of possible dishes to cook. Somehow, we decided upon seven or eight courses, retraced our steps to purchase ingredients then traveled to the chef's house. In a little over an hour of cooking time, the four of us plus the chef prepared gazpacho, sausage meatballs w. mushrooms, tomato toast, fried 'parrot' fish (like sardines, but cleaner-tasting and resembling tropical parrotfish), baked monkfish filet, migas (breadcrumbs sautéed w peppers, garlic & spanish chorizo), a spanish omelette w zucchini & onions, and a fruit salad for dessert. All from scratch, and everything came out perfect and on-time with no panic, spills, cuts or burns. By far my favorite meal in Barcelona, and one of our best experiences overall.
