The bench above is located in one of the Santa Cruz plazas.
On the busy west side of the district are The Cathedral and Alcazares. Head northeast toward the House of Pilate and you can soon find yourself lost in the photogenic alleyways which in the Cruz District pass for streets.

Not far from the Hospital de los Vernerables are a number of shops and restaurants catering to tourists.

TravelNow's info. on the Santa Cruz District

Right - Houses close enough for a neighborly kiss.

This is also home to a number of notable Seville plazas, such as the Plaza de Santa Cruz and Plaza de Virgen de los Reyes.

Photo Left--The Cross of Cerrajeria in the Plaza de Santa Cruz

Somewhere in the Plaza de Santa Cruz is the final resting place of Murillo. During the Napoleonic Wars French troops occupying the square relocated Murillo’s grave marker, making it impossible to know where his remains specifically reside.

The Cruz district is also known for the colorful courtyards found within the interiors of many homes. Do not hesitate to step up to the iron-gated doors to look; Sevillens are proud of their courtyards and often leave them viewable to the people passing by.

At a convent, iron spikes insure no kisses are given--or received--by any potential suitors.
