Once you pass through the doors of the cathedral you have to enter a construction zone. Despite its unfinished state, the cathedral’s interior is impressive. Gazing up the massive supporting columns, one can only be amazed by their tops, splaying out like branches of a tree to support the ceiling.

Just like the medieval cathedral, the Sagrada Familia’s construction is taking centuries and just like the cathedrals of old, succeeding architects have incorporated new styles into the cathedral’s design.
