Paradors are state operated hotels, most often preserving a historical building, such as a castle or monastery. In the case of the Parador de Sos del Rey Catolico, I am not certain if it is housed in a historic building. Never the less, the Parador building seems at home in Sos del Rey Catolico and the hotel is decorated in elegant, Castilian style furniture.

The Parador de Sos is an ideal location for those seeking to explore not only Sos del Rey Catolico but other near by communities, such as Uncastillo, the Monasterio de San Juan de la Pena, Castillo de Loarre and the Valleys of Anso and Hecho (villages that have retained many of their local customs and character).

Photo Above - the porch dining area, right off the main dining room has excellent views of the country side.

During the time my wife and I spent at the Parador we were impressed by the exceptional service we received from the staff. While it was obvious management was aware I would be doing a review on the Parador, for lower staff to be so willing to go out of their way to be of assistance is extraordinary.
