The Travel
Now hotel search
engine uses multiple data bases from the
IAN network (HotelDiscount, Hotels.com,
TravelNow, TurboTrip, and CondoSaver).
Before
booking a particular hotel, do read that
hotel's rate rules carefully, as they do
change from hotel to hotel. Also, on-line
hotels tend to fill up fast, so book
early. Cancellation fees do apply to
most, if not all, bookings. |

- Travel
Now On-line Search - The
special Internet hotel rates for Madrid
and Barcelona seem particularly good. One of the
databases used by Travel Now gives the "total price" for all hotel
nights booked, taxes and fees included. All
data bases should be set up this way,
showing total cost, but most just leave
you guessing what additional taxes and
fees might be added to your hotel booking. I
have personally used the TravelNow
booking engine (including the phone
reservation system) and everything worked
as promised. I plan to provide a complete
write-up on my booking experience with
them in the near future.

A Recommended Spain Travel Agent - I used this travel agency (located in Madrid) to arrange hotels for my family vacation. They don't book airline tickets, but they can provide quality, competitively priced hotel accommodations. Their in-depth knowledge of Spain means they are able to select hotels of character, and if you should encounter any problems, it is nice to know there is an English/Spanish speaking travel agent to call on. If you are looking for extras in your Spain visit, such as private guides, walking/tapas/bicycling/wine tours, consistently charming hotels and/or balcony seats at the running of the bulls, you will want to contact them.
